Calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to initiate an independent public inquiry into the impact on human rights of the routine gathering and sharing of citizens’ personal information on which its Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) policy relies.

Committee to consider petition on 29 May

The Education and Skills Committee is to discuss the Scottish Home Ed Forum / Tymes Trust joint petition next Wednesday.

Our latest submissions, in support of a public inquiry into the human rights impact of GIRFEC policy, include a home education advocate's summary and 10 anonymised case studies.

Following Ed&Skills committee discussion, letters have been sent to the Deputy FM and the ICO.

The petition will be scehduled for further consideration after the summer recess.
